Usually 2 sessions but can be 3 spaced 4-6 weeks apart to allow for full healing of the skin. 

The first session with lay in the foundation and overall color gradients. When working with bare skin, the shape is measured and the circles predrawn. Once we agree that it’s the right size than the base for color is added.  When recoloring existing areola’s that have faded color, there is no need to predraw, however some adjustments can be planned for areolas or nipples that are asymmetrical. 

The 2nd session, 4-6 weeks later after all color has healed in, will concentrate on seeing how the color held, if it needs to be darker or adding in details.  If more color or going darker is needed then a 3rd session will be booked to add details. 

Many women have lost sensitivity after surgery and do not feel much if anything at all. However, high quality topical numbing is applied and use throughout the procedure as needed. 

Yes!  I have been fully licensed and insured as a Tattoo Artist and Master Esthetician in the State of WA. My professional license #'s are 61472 and 1038.

If you're doctor writes a letter approving you for areola tattooing as a final step in your healing journey I can provide you with a superbill, (an itemized statement with medical codes) with my NPI number for you to submit for reimbursement.  As with most insurances there is no guarantee they will reimburse you. I provide pre-bill information so that you may ask your insurance before your appt.  My medical NPI number is 1760212534.
